CATHERINE N. NKONGO, PhD

The founder and CEO of ACXED Consulting, Inc., has extensive experience in international relations, policy analysis, project management and strategic planning. Besides her managerial role, she regularly runs business leadership and EDI workshops. Dr Nkongo worked full time, for over ten years, as a senior legal adviser and policy analyst of the Prime Minister in Cameroon (Central Africa). In this capacity, she was part of many litigation teams responsible for the State legal disputes, within the country or abroad, notably before the International Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce in Paris, France. Besides, she helped in shaping the legal and administrative frameworks in various sectors, including youth employment, social and environmental policies, and results-based management within the Cameroonian public service.

She also took part in several steering committees auditing State companies before their privatization. Dr. Nkongo also worked with many non-profit organizations involved in promoting girls’ education, social entrepreneurship, and community leadership. Few years ago, Dr. Nkongo had the privilege of being selected among 12 young African leaders for the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) in the United States of America, a program sponsored by the US State Department. She was once an intern at the French Audit Bench and at the UN Special Criminal Court of Sierra Leone, in Freetown. Besides her legal studies, Dr. Nkongo has also been trained as a project management professional. She holds a doctoral degree in Public Administration from the University of Ottawa (Canada). She is also an alumnus of the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA, France: master’s degree in Public Administration), and the University of Douala, Cameroon. She is perfectly bilingual (English and French). Dr. Nkongo is a proud mother of two teenagers. She lives and works in Ottawa, Canada.

MARCEL N. KWEDI

Chief Operating Officer, IT Director

Marcel is the Chief Operating Officer of ACXED Consulting, Inc. He is a computer engineer (École Normale Supérieure Polytechnique du Cameroun) and holds an MBA from Nyenrode Business Universiteit (Netherlands) and the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago (USA). Moreover, he is an innovator and a creative thinker. Since the creation of ACXED, Marcel has carried out feasibility studies, risk analyses, market studies and complex statistical analyses for clients in Canada and the United States. In addition, he has been delivering innovative solutions in Africa and Europe for the past fifteen years through several projects. In particular, he led an innovative project in South Africa (2009). Based on primary data from consumers in Mozambique, he built a comprehensive business case for a mobile payment solution in that country, including a detailed business model and user experience maps. In 2010, he led the design and implementation of a spreadsheet module allowing users to add MS EXCEL-style forms to the HRM SAAS application developed by RAET BV, the oldest IT company in the Netherlands.

From 2004 to the present day, Marcel has launched several start-ups in Africa, including XTremsoft, whose main activities have been the design and deployment of advanced asset management systems at the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Public Works in Cameroon. He created the Kayatom platform, the first African platform for the exchange of agricultural products. This initiative was funded by the Tony ELUMELU Foundation (TEF). He is co-founder of WOHAOO, a social enterprise incubator in Cameroon, Chad, and the Central African Republic. WOHAOO has helped to train over 5,000 young entrepreneurs in business management and innovation. Two years ago, Marcel launched Africa's first endogenous crypto currency: the NEBUCOIN project. The project is currently in the experimental phase. Marcel is the author of several publications on social entrepreneurship, including "Social Entrepreneurship, The Secret to Starting a Business Worth Living For", 2014, Lulu Publishing. Marcel is fluent in English, French and Dutch.

Ted has a threefold professional experience in the academic, private, and public sectors. He is currently an independent Senior Consultant with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), devising training programmes and delivering seminars to diplomats accredited to the United Nations (Geneva Office). Owing to his multidisciplinary academic background in various fields, such as Public Policy and Strategic Management (Guest Lecturer, the University of Malta, 2018-2019); Economics, History, and Politics of the African continent, Economics of the Developing World (Lecturer, Webster University, Geneva campus, 2008-2012); Global Economics, International Law, Financial Law, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics (Lecturer, European University EU Business School, Geneva); Comparative Political Systems, International Relations, Political Economy (Lecturer, National University of Ireland – University College Cork, 2005-2008); Economics, Public Law (Part-time Lecturer,

Ecole Nationale d’Administration – ENA, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, 1997-1999). His academic involvement also includes university accreditation processes. As an independent consultant, he has been advising governments (decentralization, taxation policies) and sovereign funds (investment strategies, political risk analysis), and worked for a regional rating agency as Head of sovereign ratings. A former top civil servant, he held the position of Legal and Diplomatic Adviser, as well as ad interim Chief of Staff to the Deputy Prime Minister (Ministre d’Etat), Minister of Interior and Security (Congo-Brazzaville, 1995-1997) during the short-lived democratic experiment that country underwent in the 1990s. Ted BIKIN-KITA is, inter alia, a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA, France). He is fluent in French and English.

Daniel est un professionnel chevronné du développement international qui possède plus de 20 ans d'expérience en matière de leadership, de conception et de gestion de projets, d'administration de contrats et de subventions, de renforcement des capacités organisationnelles et institutionnelles, d'assistance technique, d'optimisation des ressources financières et autres, et de gestion des parties prenantes. Il a géré un portefeuille varié d’importants projets couvrant divers secteurs, notamment la santé mondiale, l'environnement, l'éducation, l'agriculture et l'aide humanitaire, en particulier en Afrique et en Asie du Sud-Est.
